JC Penney Outlines Its New Beauty Strategy

Greater emphasis on inclusive beauty brands that cross categories and price points.

JCPenney has unveiled its plans for JCPenney Beauty, which the retailer describes as a “new, inclusive in-store and online experience that reflects customers’ beauty wants and needs, no matter their age, gender, race, skin tone, hair type, beauty regime, or budget.”  The announcement comes as other major retailers like Target and Kohl’s are stepping up their beauty retail spaces with alliances with Ulta and Sephora, respectively.
